Sadchild

Here I am but I'm not myself To you, I mean, I appear as somebody else That face in the mirror This voice of a stranger Years of disappointment gave way To fear of freedom and empty space But being always alone, I have always known That there are angels floating around me I want them to touch me But they stay arms length away Vanish in great smiles For miles and miles Watching over this sad child, and The saving touch is a phantom finger it Passes through and it numbs me bit by bit I reflect on her eyes and only see My own body in her reality In my darkest of moments I have seen Endless visions of perfect beauty With angels who promise but take away They're ghosts and they haunt me All these angels floating around me They wouldn't hurt me If I make dreamworlds and play sadchild they'll stay All these angels floating around me They've caught and bound me Make me stay feet of the ground Don't make a sound Eyes forward I'm scared but I wanted to be found, now I can't leave Struggle, I'm so tightly bound, they won't let me breathe Comfort, don't let me down, someone help me please It seems I'm drowning in brown hair Is there anybody there?
