I See It In Everything

I see it in everything Down to the marks on the wall It's hard to kick the habit Of drowning in the absence Of meaning to it all And so my Days are consumed by the Need to prove myself wrong It's one thing to say it And another one to live it and move on on You're done it's gone You found it all to be Exactly what you thought And you made sure of that by Closing yourself off to Other ways things could have been Not that it matters now I just wish You would have realized it back then I feel it in everything Just say the word make the call It's an art form to kick the habit Of furrowing your brow at Everyone who has the gall And so my Days are consumed by the Need to prove them all wrong It might not pique your interest To turn your head and ignore it So don't complain when you've had enough You're done it's gone You found it all to be Exactly what you thought And you made sure of that by Closing yourself off to Other ways things could have been You let these thoughts run through your head You could of called made amends You lost the love but could of kept a friend Here you go it's all the same Not your fault it couldn't have been Desperately you'll cast the blame For what Some need to clear your name It hurts the most The stuff you can't change I suppose You couldn't have realized it back then
