Another Night

Another night of those long old talks I'm listening as they scream I'm too young to truly understand I'm wondering what this means I start to cry as I hear the pain in my Momma and Papa's voice My big sisters been hurting herself she ain't happy with the person she is When we showed her love all she'd do is shrug and say I'm fine No it ain't her fault she's been fighting her own mind And the seasons change it just takes a little time But what if I don't ever get to say goodbye Another night with police at the door saying we ain't sure where she's gone My families sayin well what can we do to make sure that she comes back home My Momma's crying for hours thinking oh my baby girl is gone She turns up later and acts like theres just nothing even wrong When we showed her love all she'd do is shrug and say I'm fine No it ain't her fault she's been fighting her own mind And the seasons change it just takes a little time But what if I don't ever get to say goodbye Another night where I'm all alone drowning in my own thoughts I never found the time to take a breath or send a prayer up to the Lord I'm praying now won't you keep her safe Lord bring her back on home I guess for now it's just me and my thoughts got nothing to hold but hope When we showed her love all she'd do is shrug and say I'm fine No it ain't her fault she's been fighting her own mind
