Antlers

I wish I could be held by the safe step of the mythical horse And each beat embraced the crest of my skin's scorch Wounded by the branches with distinct force Bewilder me with meanings from the wildered thorns Amidst the humid night its simple potence Its antennas like skinny fists, the mist opens As the air thinks, singing inkless poems Sing to me the secrets of the wind's poets I want to live inside the velvet of a moose's antlers Where dreams are made right after crooning dampers Hear the songs of flutes to which the moon dances From the spruces and the pines that guide the wind Bring my chest nearer To where the ground is And wrap my arms around the dust Wrap my arms around the dust Tightly Wrap my arms around the dust And when someone puts their arms around the burst of light to find me Fill my eyes with stars and blind me I can hear it through the antlers While asleep inside their body
