By This Time Next Year

I walked out the plant today for the final time I put in 14 years but I had planed on 35 Last June had you asked me I'd have said I had no fear That I'd be out looking for work by this time next year I get on my knees and pray each night to the lord For him to help me find a way to pay these bills I can't afford I've toiled the day and cursed the night but we've all run out of tears I pray that I'm back on my feet by this time next year All I ever wanted was to do right by my kids For them to have the things growing up I never did Somehow things got out of hand not sure how we got here Or If we'll still be in this house by this time next year
