I Opened Up My Eyes

I was just a young kid with so many questions When I felt alone, when I felt depression I couldn’t see demons but I could feel their presence I tried to beat them and they left me a message Said you won’t be enough, your life isn’t precious You are one of us, I’ll show you that you’re reckless I had a knife on me, but I felt defenseless Hands around my neck, just like a necklace Now I’m dying slowly, the world calls it a lesson But if I put them first, I’ll always come in second They want me to burn, but that’s not where I’m destined I break down and cry, God please show me heaven I can’t do this on my own, look at my life wretched I need you more than ever, my life is depending This world left me open ended, and now I wanna end it Take away my pain and help me fight my stresses I opened up my eyes, the devil is still around But God is deep inside, I can rise above the ground God is in the skies, higher than the abound I guess I couldn’t see Him with my head facing down I opened up my eyes, the devil is still around But God is deep inside, I can rise above the ground God is in the skies, higher than the abound I guess I couldn’t see Him with my head facing down God never left me but I left Him so many times Music reflects on me but I never put Him in rhymes I felt like I was useless I felt I was dying I just finished praying and now I’m on my knees crying I’m erasing my tears and wiping my eyes I’m gonna face my demons before I run out of time So I grab a tight grip on my knife I’m ready to fight If I lose this battle then I’m losing my life Now it’s all on the line, this is life or death So I get ready to put the knife in chest But what if I am too weak for righteousness? What if it’ll make issues that I can’t siphon with?
