Remember when I lived in this bar, it was either here or my car Will Allen Jackson, Chattahoochee, them ol' boys beggin' for a smoochie on those ol' stools Always occupied by a fool After some sort of rejection, I'm stuck at an intersection, somewhere between a man and A child Some would even walk a mile, to hide the thought in their mind, if there's more than whiskey Blind But over in the corner, it's a man turned to a mourner, playin' pool after he got played Like a fool Each of them by a different girl, but they both wrecked their world, both their fun went Down the drain, after she hopped on that train Well some went south, some went north, they said they weren't worth the worth, but they Had their spots And that's why them boys are takin' shots They meet a brand of alcohol, and I'll give Johnny a call, he'll pick it up, toss it to Me And the both of us can drink for three Well it's obvious we're drinkers, and we were once turned to sinkers, who's gonna Drag us Home Only thing's dead are our phones Yeah, but we've gotten close, I'm not a blarin' post, yeah, I ended up all the way Don't matter if it's night or day, well someone's keepin' company, flirting or comforting, something That happened, or someone that's packing up for a better life, whether or not taking his Wife off to chase that big dream, trying to make it onto the big screens, but I'm fine With staying here, so slide me another beer, I'll make you good business, with God as my Witness, and me and him better be close, cause he's the only one that truly knows, when my Habits will catch up, until then slide me a cup
