Thousands of miles heading nowhere Moving faster than thoughts could keep up You were minding your own business; one with nature And soon enough someone so distraught came and intervened When it never needed it to be A murder committed before death You died before you were dead Warm in my comfortable little body, you Lifeless and freezing A being robbed of its fullest blessing At the cost of self-loathing A reckless Self isn't far From the Truth At least plenty can be learned from the blindness 'Cause little is it known That the Truth is right there before you before it's manifested You got a glimpse of what Hell's like before you had to see it with your own eyes And there it lies at your feet No longer breathing No longer believing You gaze into the shadows of your own Self Sin is a wage and the price is life
