A raindrop rolls down my window It mirrors the tear on my cheek It seems like such a long time ago I didn't need a reminder to breathe To breathe (Remember to breathe) My pictures frame a different time I didn't know how quick it would fade With hugs and smiles we were still aligned But now it's all been erased And sometimes I just seem to fall apart Living in the space between the photographs But I'll trust and give my heart Even when you are still far There's no more time for looking back Looking back, I know that I wasn't always there And now I'm outside again Even in my foggy glasses I can see better than before There's joy in every moment that doesn't have to end To finally feel the sun, the wind rushing by To be in the same place, to look a friend in the eye I don't know how much time I'll be here But I'll breathe in the open sky Even still in the waiting, I'll learn to fly But sometimes I just seem to fall apart Living in the space between the photographs But I'll trust and give my heart Even when you are still far There's no more time for looking back I'm still breathing And I have something to say Let the words leave my brain and write my own refrain To tell them that I care and not be afraid I'm learning to love whatever is today
