Nothing Grows Here (Live)

Land so worn down that dust replaces dirt I have planted the hardiest of seeds Weeds that we normally cut away Because they choke other roots and Invade whole gardens But even they Do not grow here Frustrated I scuff the ground with my feet Patches of nothing How can I cultivate a mind Which is so dead Nothing grows here
