THROUGH THE DESERT (feat. V-i)

Digging for more answers to the plot in my story I Would love to feel less buried alive but it's more me to Provide depth in the shallow when I feel boxed in My pen shapes perspective differently when the ink blots them Trying to maintain my being In a world that rarely sees me unless I blind myself from being Everything I wanna be and at times I feel like fleeing The itch I wanna scratch ironically would be more freeing Than Attaching myself to a love that I often learn is deceiving Maybe it's my spirit and morals that keep me believing But the Path we take dealing with mirages in the desert is so intriguing Now looking back at the situations and observations I've captured Enduring more pain than love and it feels like the rapture But they say pain is temporary I guess it's in the eyes of the beholder Unless you're going through stress And has a stronghold on your soul And on your shoulders it feels like a boulder But no matter what they told you It's gonna get easier Just keep going I take no reprieve from what I believe Always telling uncomfortable truths Because there's no growth in the warmth that lies can conceive The Path of least resistance Easy but kills persistence I Take pride being forged in the opposite because my hunger remains consistent Say I ate everything but number one is the goal You see the mark of an artist is what you feel in your soul Just my opinion What resonates is different now The Masses rap but few really that gifted now The Wave of authenticity has been on a nimble decline That's why my Fix on tipping scales whenever I lift a pen and given these rhymes Love joy and pain all synonymous in my basis I Feel at home circling all three where the drums and bass is Time heals all wounds they say And even though it can be biased At a random moment Or across a vast amount of time of reflection That pain will dissolve like getting baptized in holy rain So no matter how it feels right now You're a strong willed individual You're put on this planet for a reason And you're gonna find your way Your own way To the oasis
