Tread you not upon the hallowed Ground where those before you yet remain Granite grim reminders every Mark we make's ephemeral and vain Some wisdom can never be taught Lessons warnings left unheeded Footpath trodden bare by passage Missteps bound to be repeated Oh harken well What they impart But bring no grace To your damned heart Prosaic tale tired rerun More litany than touching memoir Movie's end that you see coming Every extra thinks that they're the star Hellscape fractal endless cycle Boneyard screams unheard by closed ears Cautions futile ditch to evade Slomo traincrash of our worst fears Lockstep lemmings rush the cliffside Knowing not what fate arrives Many paths but outcome certain Great or small in the end none survive
