My depression was rooted by expectations You took advantage because I was pleading with desperation The heartbreak that comes with a gap year after matriculation Years went by my life got stuck I wish I stayed young Friends got jobs others got chased by cops Life is no longer fun My own kind letting me down There's nothing new under the sun Arguments be leading to the pulling out of guns 15 year old amateur thugs Chose a life of always being on the run Yeah Life don't turn out how we expect it Forever is not forever we gotta face it There's human robots even the word "till death do us apart" n*gger we can fake it Even the lemon looks sweet until you taste it n*gger yeah You can never tell how steep something is man until you rub your nose with it It's a crazy world that we live in Looks are deceiving man that's all that I'm tryna say
