Heat Wave

The summer heat feeling better with the summer breeze Cooling the sweat from my neck that began puddling Sweat drip dropping and the clock tick tocking and uh Time is money, don't let your habits be pick pocketing ya It's crazy how hot a little heat wave can be And how cold the winter is and you start to freeze Especially with our oven open with no heat in a broke house A heat wave could be handy instead of ice in a snow cloud Sweat dripping is better than boiling water in the kitchen Just to take a bath and it's splashing on your kicks and We pray for a raincloud in the middle of a rain drought But then when it rains out it's something to complain about Same about fixing the roads and the pot holes When they fix it, people bitching about the traffic like a snot nosed I guess the summer heat, basically like the same thing In contrast with the winter, we just mither instead of paving The road were on, burning like hot coals When your bare feet in the street you'll buck like broncos I'll walk a mile in your shoes, you walk a mile in mine While the paraplegic can see it's no time to whine No AC, feeling like the sun hates me Life ain't a piece of cake, but I feel like I am baking The sweat from my brow feeling venomous, how Is it stinging me, and sickening, and bending my bowels Mind is heavy, but I feel like my head is light Probably lacking water and many electrolytes Box fan in the window spinning by my bed at night Where I dream snow cones so frigid when I enter night Don't let the heat distract you from your dreams and goals And the same with the winter when it is freezing and cold Hands on the clock are spinning like the fan blades Don't let anything dim your light like a lampshade The summer heat feeling better with the summer breeze Cooling the sweat from my neck that began puddling Sweat drip dropping and the clock tick tocking and uh Time is money, don't let your habits be pick pocketing ya
