Labyrinth of Synapses

This is glory O what a senseless murder of our sun Love Time Relentless slaughter of our sons Blood Flies I've made this madness my own Heat death of eternity My heart is singing Against them Chorus of fragile Lungs engorged And bloated Intricate systems of organs Seize and malfunction A growing chora of destruction Compose in my wake Sift through the stars Weaving through stellar winds And nebula endlessly Upheave Myself from the gorge Unending maw That gnaws at hands of time One grave All of humanity In the stress when the back of your head throbs In the sense of unease that you feel in the pit of your stomach That all of your effort is null That's where I make my home And though it may subside for now You can't escape my sight Your wanderings, a constant source For my enjoyment I, the manta that swallows the ether The mountain that stands in the sea The gaping trench In a jet black void Into the Mouth of the Colossus again And now Limping on what little that Your species has to give I find it laughable Despicable to listen to the musings Of the dead The hubris of your notions And their grandeur crumble Arrogant defamatory creatures Bound to meat and bone And Rampant with anxiety And truly terrified to be alone That understand the depth But not the vastness drown This is the the circle of life The human paradigm One by one the cycle ends and begins anew Consciousness forever changed Through the morphing of years Embrace perfection Without example And made to walk a line continually The nectar of trauma So sweet on my tongue A world without song Has come to rise As to what lies ahead Labyrinth of synapses Fire indiscriminately Til the cellular destruction Of the amygdala region Capsize The memory It falls to ruin 'Neath my eyes Such constitution subsides in time Terror Bring such an astounding terror The dream of a slumbering god That fills such wanton needs The hunger that won't cease To find a meaning to the madness
