I'm a Syrian Refugee and I'm proud I can scream it out loud Cause it'll follow me around like a cloud So I put it on my head and wear it on like a crown Bow down to your roi I run the town now I got white skin but inside I'm brown I hide my pain behind a mask of a clown But I ain't funny I ain't no C.F. Browne I be nonchalant so you take it for a frown And I drown my old me in a place not to be found The amount of kicks he took cannot be counted But no matter how hard I fell I never hit the ground I mix sounds to surround your thoughts with words You should understand I lift them weights pound after pound When I didn't have money for the gym I used to lift them books with each hand You kids didn't feel shit, I'm not feeling privileged Don't talk about no struggles unless I lived it But life be a real bitch So I gotta a lotta things to talk about Open your ears listen to the rhymes I shout My lungs hurt but I never change my route I'm in this to stay, no sleeping now I write, record, produce all in my house On lockdown even when corona not around I work day night dusk until the dawn Sometimes on my 6lack cool vibes Sometimes on my B.S. So I don't f*ck with a lotta you rappers Even less with them stupid wack trappers I'm on my vibe watching for the backstabbers My rap sadder but my levels are climbing on the ladder Improving my self, I got no choice but to get the success I deserve I put the work, even when It hurts I feel the urge, to spit them verses, That makes you learn What it's like to be from the middle east After a speech a president get to feast On food that belongs to the streets Now my people are hungry got nothing to eat It's facts I'm not just rhyming on beat You plant a seed in a land not suitable for cultivation What you get is generations of immigrations Full of motivation To make a changement in this world That's how it's always been It's like watching a film And I'm the main actor So I gotta make me win
