I keep myself medicated With the sun and a summer's breeze It's hard to stay dedicated With the cold of a winter's eve It's where I'm from I don't have no other home Seasons change every couple months Leaves will die But then the flowers bud As bunnies run the sidewalks And the dogs bark I keep myself elevated With hellos and a friendly wave And not all my neighbors get it But if I call 'em they'd be here in a minute Where I'm from I don't have no other home Seasons change every couple months People die But then life goes on As kiddies run the sidewalks And the young moms talk East of Appalachia South of where the glaciers are We all know a cold front when it hits ya North of the Carolinas West of Long Island We get hit with wind off the Caribbean Where I'm from I don't have no other home Seasons change every couple months Leaves will die But then the flowers bud As we all run the sidewalks And the old folks watch
