I remember the first time that I met you You were the first house that I had ever been to I was your first too almost experimental Not accidental cos you wanted me, whole heatedly And I could see, the artist in me came from you Your wrote me letters before I came through Your exit, it was entrance to a world amazing Your walls, I felt the absence and started cave in You were my rock, my pillar of support My council for decisions and so much more My first day one from day one we stayed one You'd get sick and tell me to take my medicine I get sick too, that's our connection We'll never be apart no matter the distance No matter where I go, no matter where I be I will always feel your presence right beside me I travel light I already have a heavy heart A lone traveler just looking for the right path All roads lead to Rome So I guess I'm going home But I`m afraid of getting lost and ending up alone I remember the first time that I met you You were the forbidden house the one I was never meant to Talk about or even mention I was confused by other people's misconceptions How could evil be wrapped in so much truth How could one love me more than her own youth You welcomed me with open arms so I came through Realized the whole time they'd been afraid of you You reminded them of all their lies and deceit You showed the world for what it is and taught me To make my own choices no matter what they say Cos at the end of the day I'm the one who would pay Opportunity cost was never lost because of you We ain't even blood but the same love runs through Our veins,I'm not saying, three parents was never odd But I'm grateful that I met you and for who you are And you? You were a mansion A house ever expanding Dunno if you planned it Even noticed it happening Ah man what happened You grew the property and probably Forgot about me Or maybe you didn't, the gardens were always ever green Only the best for me cos I was your first seed But how'd this pear grow so far away from the apple tree The fruit of your labor created a great estate But do you ever wonder, was it all a great escape Cos the bigger the house the greater the space But you wouldn't know cos you're hardly home anyway Always at the boarding gates, always watched you fly away Felt the only way that I would see you is I owned a plane Or a train and we could track where we last left off Cos I know this house but don't know you at all I travel light I already have a heavy heart A lone traveler looking for the right path All roads lead to Rome So I guess I'm going home But I`m afraid of getting lost and ending up alone
