It's been so long Almost a year We said our goodbyes As we both faced our fears And now i'm so cold Think the winter is here The body grows numb As the silence sets in It's not a picture perfect painting But it is what it is I'll shade within the lines When I find peace within myself They say with time You'll be ok But whys it feel Like it may take My whole life I do my best To try to hold Myself together But god I know I can't keep this Act up forever They say don't try to run away From all your problems But then why do I keep Running away from myself I can't understand sometimes Why I do what I do The biggest enemy is the one Who looks right back at me And maybe I'll change Or maybe I won't Guess I'll have to wait To see what the future holds They say with time You'll be ok But whys it feel Like it may take My whole life I do my best To try to hold Myself together But god I know I can't keep this Act up forever
