Finding myself Finding the light Fighting the shadows That show up at night Finding my center Finding the ground Fighting the wind That keeps pulling me down I don't know how to fight Or how my past is staying alive I'm trying to put it behind me But it stays by my side I'm crying to myself all the time Always staying in my shell I can't give up or give in I just to live with my self Finding myself Finding the light Fighting the shadows That show up at night Finding my center Finding the ground Fighting the wind That keeps pulling me down It's breaking me on the inside To afraid to show myself I have no friends that would help me And I'm too afraid of myself What am I becoming How does everyone see me in their eyes How do I feel so dead When I know that I'm alive How do I find that's supposed to keep me down All I'm doing is floating around I'm just trying to Find myself Find the light Fight the shadows That show up at night Find my center Find the ground Fighting the wind In hopes it will never pull me down I know it will never pull me down, never again
