Gather round everyone! I have a story to tell Unfortunately for our protagonist This one doesn't go so well You may have never heard of him But he's one of legend and myth A mortal born from the dirt beneath When he rose among the rest But first, let me recap: Tucked under the canopy Of the mystical grand tree A province of oddish populace There were forest gnomes you see Though mistold as the happy kind They were too involved with the world Each clan a master of their craft And fought when war unfurled An army found their home And burned it all to the ground The fire and flames quickly spread Until there wasn't a sound The morning after came rain Accompanied with tears For there was only one survivor A child named Sicarius And thus begins our tale Of the legend that started this A rogue of Manibus A gnome named Sicarius A pair of boots approached And Sicarius ran to hide Armed with a dagger he found The gnome crouched there in silence A second blade unveiled To stop the child from running Realization struck a hand outstretched The Order of the Setting Sun "I apologize" the rogue spoke "It appears I was too late" "I was supposed to warn the elders" "My mission had me delayed" Sicarius filled with rage White knuckled the blade he held The rogue took the gnome on horseback With a heavy heart and sorrow And thus begins our tale Of the legend that started this A rogue of Manibus A gnome named Sicarius Under the Order's wing He learned everything he could From espionage to picking locks And he fought the best he could Using natural abilities He traded secrets too Like how to navigate the woods And foraging tricks he knew When Sicarius got older He embarked on his first missions But the hate inside he could not hide And soon he started to envision Up all night seeking answers To who murdered his home He learned a retired commander On the other side of the world And thus begins our tale Of the legend that started this A rogue of Manibus A gnome named Sicarius Sailing across heavy seas Stopping any in his way Sicarius stood on the doorsteps of A man in his last day Silently moving through the shadows The man was dead asleep He quickly plunged his dagger down The man gasped and weeped As blood trickled from his chest He saw the gnomish lineage He remembered his previous choices And he tried to explain his reason "I'm sorry! I should've known" "My last days were near!" "Please understand, I wasn't there!" "I am not the threat you fear!" "What?" Sicarius commanded "The Order of the Setting Sun. I only sent them there, but I never burned your home myself. I'm sorry." Hurt, betrayed, once again By those he called his saviors Never knew that the helping hand Was the one that caused the danger As commander died, so did Sicarius His spirit had been corrupted Then a voice spoke from deep inside An offer he couldn't resist Forest gnome of a broken home I'm a god you never knew I'll grant you strength to end your foes All you have to do is choose I am the Sixth, a hidden god Grants ability to those in need I've read your soul and we both know You want to see them bleed! I won't be like them The Sixth faded from existence Sicarius's anger eased He understood what he had to do As none left could be trusted Putting his skills to the test He retaliated against the order What he once called his second home Was now his enemy One by one he hunt them down To just a lingering few Used new talents to close the gap He equaled twenty two Soon only one remained His previous helping hand "I don't blame you, I deserve this" "I'll die by your hand" And like that, it was over Sicarius went to the province A place he once called home Since his previous departure It was filled with more gnomes Survivors came from around the world To rebuild the grand tree And Sicarius formed a new clan The clan of Manibus Though burdened with the harshest thoughts He continues to protect Using skills he had no choice to learn He had a home to defend The Sixth made visits to his mind Sicarius only rebelled "Evil god, I denounce you" "We'll see each other in hell" And thus ends our tale Of the legend that started this A rogue of Manibus A gnome named Sicarius
