The Neglected Beginning

You can say that I've been feeling colder lately Haven't felt a hand on my shoulder lately Eyes adjusted to the dark, no need to fear Adding more logs to the burning pyre Crossing off names, list keeps climbing higher Shadows encompass the room they're too sincere And when I'm stuck in silence I start to get a bit of repentance Cause I- Ain't dying any time soon Cross my heart I hope to die In a hundred years or so Cause I- Got more work to do Don't matter how much the wings hurt Force a metamorphosis Couldn't care about being a second thought now Can't even trust the close ones they'll leave you forgotten Soul is not yet scarred but getting rotten Go appease the masses by giving your voice out Rip apart your flesh and use your body to hand out Ignore those loved ones who give you shame and doubt And when I'm stuck in silence I start to get a bit of repentance Ain't dying any time soon Cross my heart I hope to die In a hundred years or so Got more work to do Don't matter how much the wings hurt Force a metamorphosis
