The Peaceful Ending

A collection of people in business suits, six-figure salaries and $12 coffee in a virtual meeting about their latest hire, a group of newly weds Debating whether "rose red" and "pink" are the same thing The obvious queer kid writing some fanfic of a cartoon they used to watch growing up I assume I fall under a different genre: The one constantly dressed in earthy tones that sits in a corner Trying to get their head out of their ass While I find this as my favorite third place It's ironic how much of my problems still linger here. The interior a subtle reminder that the outside is-well-outside. A black painted ceiling I correlate with the tiny fraction of the Universe that we've uncovered so far At least there's a simple mug that takes me back to my Grandma's simple apartment Regardless, my attention continues to drift in and out. The tea in front of me quickly gets cold and I'm behind on my work Isn't a third place supposed to be where you go to just "exist"? I guess that's all I want, just to exist. In a quiet corner of a cafe, something caffeinated in hand Listening to music and playing OSRS To me, that's what it means to exist
