Unfair

The world that we live in is terrible The world that we live in makes me feel sick Some people out there make me so scared Why is life so unfair I never really knew them But they lived so close 3 people gone in a night that doesn't feel too long ago That was the first time that I was shown How the world is a scary place How do you trust people, how do you know if it's a mistake What do you do when things like this happen Why do things, like this happen I carried around a nerf gun that night I was only, in grade 5 My teacher on our first day back, came in crying He taught the girl that was rushed to the hospital, dying Why do kids have to live in a world like this Why does anyone, even try The biggest question, what is life If, in the end it all dies I got a journal to help me with how I felt After everything happened I re-wrote a song to help me with how I felt But so many years later, I'm back at it The worst thing is that the world is getting worse, and worse So many bad things are happening So the people in the next generation Get ready to start up, your engines It's gonna be one really hard, life To help me I went to the visitation Where I saw too many people, that were affected The kids each had a future, and dreams And friends, and family, and goals and a life Then the world and the people of the world Did what they do best, and ruined it Everything is ruined The world that we live in is terrible The world that we live in makes me feel sick Some people out there make me so scared Why is life so unfair Why is life so unfair
