One Day at a Time

It's times like these that devour me Got nothing left but hopelessness Stuck in a maze with no right ways and nothing left It's times like these I'm on my knees, asking God for a sign It's times like these I take one day at a time These memories won't stop haunting me Thoughts in my head keep me up in bed What could have been Things I can't change And what I should have said I know these memories are a part of me until I am dead But these memories I'll take one day at a time Every sunrise bring a whole new you To the past you have no ties Each sunset brings a different view and a time to say goodbye I know these sunny skies can get overcast But just like good ones, bad days never last I know life isn't easy, but it seems most days I just can't win But when I slow down and look around I can always hear birds chirping 'Cause bad times come with good ones too They're just a little bit harder to see Just gotta dance through the pain and laugh at mistakes 'Cause after all, I'm only me Yeah I know life isn't easy But I'm strapped in for the ride So this life of mine I'll take one day at a time
