Flying in circles around To bring back the dreams When we once were young And brave You say you're sorry you've grown up I hear condolences from time But there's nothing to apologize And the ticktocks aren't a crime And if I'm feeling down I'd throw away that frown And turn the page around My calendar Those were the sunny days And those were the starry nights We had our laughs and our fights And moments of dark and delight They build a brand new page Tiny scrapbooks of our hearts Inserting memory by memory (those were the days...) Albums thicken each page Pictures fade as they age But I still know your name And yes, you'll feel alone Why do we cry for those years They're full of laughs but all your tears Will steal the show No use in pondering the many years ago They'll clog up your memories but the hours will still flow Make your day Turn the page And if I'm feeling down I'd throw away that frown And turn the page around My calendar And pass a year or so You'll see a face you know I've come around once more To say hello
