Older Than I Am

I am running from the thought of growing older than I am It's not so funny, I think about it when I'm caught up in a jam When I'm not watching, life likes to pull me in directions I had never dreamed I'd go But dreams are weary, they tend to fade away the older I grow Time keeps racing it's slipping right through my hands I'm going crazy it feels like I may be older than I am Every morning, I sip on coffee just to feel like I'm alive The same old story, clock starts ticking down another nine to five Been taking sick leave, just to day dream of the things I could have had Been feeling angry, for falling victim to a life I had never planned Time keeps racing it's slipping right through my hands I'm going crazy it feels like I may be older than I am Time keeps racing and its slipping right through my hands
