They threw bad words, mindless stones Aimed to cut us, break our bones In the crowd, the laughter died Behind their screens, spreads their lies Those names they use, isn't you or me They want the world to believe them - see Repeating burning whispers, sting Gives their labels flapping wings They want our anger, they want our fall To paint bad stories, re-frame it all But we're not that story, we're not their play Goodness, is our truth, and way We're not the labels, they try to make us Not the lies they've sent to break us Rise above, stand our ground All our voices, will turn it round Lies can't hold, hate won't last We are the future, they're the past Why turn cold?
