Is this the golden age Will we see better days If it’s the golden age Where are the better days Staring outside through the window Wondering where does the time go Always too fast or it’s too slow Can’t always tell what I’m feeling Am I happy or deceiving Everybody that I’m meeting Have I missed my good old days The ones that rest in summer haze Comparisons confirm that this is true Is this the golden age Will we see better days If it’s the golden age Where are the better days Am I too old to believe in Life that I see when I dream Sometimes I wonder what I’m missing Wish I could forget the pressure Of having my life put together Are we doing things just for the pictures Fabricated happiness Might look good now but here’s the test If no one noticed would you feel the same Is this the golden age Will we see better days If it’s the golden age Where are the better days What if it’s dangerous living by feelings And what others think Cause feelings fade people change Let’s put our focus on things that don’t fleet Cause then we can understand what our own Worth and our meaning will be So once we can figure out how to do those heavy things That will be the Golden age We will see better days If it’s the golden age These are the better days Living in the Golden age We will see better days If it’s the golden age These are the better days All that is gold does not glitter Not all who wander are lost The old that is strong does not wither Deep roots are not reached by the frost From ashes a fire shall be woken A light from the shadows shall spring Renewed shall be blade that was broken The crownless again shall be king
