A Song for Nick and Amber, Sung in My Australian Accent

kallan phillips a song for nick and amber, sung in my australian accent şarkı sözleri

It's been said before That all's been said and done And when it comes to love All that's said is dumb The poets words have been repeated And poorly used by friends on instagram I try to write but get defeated By the fear i've nothing new to say And so I'm sick of all the songs That make it hard to say Anything new about love That's not a damn cliche And when my friends get married My spirits can sink low Not just because i'm lonely But none of my words seem apropos  If I could bottle up the moments, like The subtle looks when love is shared I'd keep them near for inspiration But even then my words could not compare I know I've spent too many years Always stuck somewhere halfway Between the dream of perfect love And the fear that it's cliche If absence makes the heart grow fonder Why do we spend our time Going out on dates with people And stalking them online? No, perfect ain't the word for any of it Because love is never blind But that makes it easier to find I'll risk it all upon these words And hope they sometimes feel profound... When in love? well I would hope so I'll just have to trust your word for now So I'll keep on singing songs Even when they are quite lame Because for those who've loved There's s  beauty in the cliche And cynicism's really just as cliched
