Floundering

I can't stop time and I can't let things be Someday I'll find you and you'll understand me Because I've been round the block and there is only one thing That I know for sure and that's I'm floundering Do I just love you cause you love me back? Or, do I love you cause there's something there? Cause, I can't tell you what I feel for you? Cause, I don't know Meanwhile, in the real world I get a call from the passing of time And she says "Don't repeat, just keep things sweet, set doubts to the side" I tell her "I can't trust you, and I can't trust my mind" Cause, I been knowing, cause you treat me so dear And cause you're always down to say the things I'm fixing to hear But, that don't help my mind to go clear so I don't know
