Something feels different in the sky today What started out so vibrant had turned to grey The life I once knew seems so far away I'm stuck inside my mind all my thoughts are a haze Eyes aching and bloodshot My body ages in this Harsh light,  white walls Feeling stagnant, can't let go Losing all sense of self control In my sleep I rarely dream, my own ambition haunting me So little left of inner peace, what remain are harmful tendencies Been searching for a voice of reason Still alive but hardly breathing Felt this way for far too long Ain't no reprieve when your hope is gone Something feels different in the sky today What started out so vibrant had turned to grey The life I once knew seems so far away I'm stuck inside my mind all my thoughts are a haze Though I'm still here, I'm contemplating I think my will is slowly fraying I carry on, god knows I'm trying As I go my soul is dying To think I've gone and lost my way Praying I still have the strength To live again, outlast this war To find the place I'm yearning for Something feels different in the sky today What started out so vibrant had turned to grey The life I once knew seems so far away I'm stuck inside my mind all my thoughts are a haze
