Blue Dawn

Lately I've been feelin' sad No reasons or meanings to be glad Look out my window to wonder If things were different then how could I change my past To effect my future No care for butterflies or flags Can't sit forever so my only choice is to take arms and fight back But this time like a calm sun rising over the hills And a blue dawn that'll never last With the wind pushing the clouds to a land so far it ain't on a map And as I lay under this tree and think to myself and can't help but laugh Why will my world never change even when everyone else thinks it has And how do I learn to live in the moment when all I do is let it pass And can I learn to love myself at the end of the day if it's my last So many questions to plague the mind Gotta leave the ground to even touch the sky And if you're looking to the horizon you might just see what you can never find And yet I'm on a journey past the mountains and the valleys Until I find what makes me happy and serenity surrounds me I've been on the search but can't seem to find my way Maybe I'll just go look another day
