Ichthyosaurus

The hot summer sun is out today Jumping in and out of the water Let's play Two sets of flippers help me steer And my strong tail sets me in high gear Oh! Let's go! I'm an Ichthyosaurus I resemble a porpoise I'm about 10 feet in length And I show my strength By diving deep down Then zipping back up At very high speeds Through these Jurassic seas My name means fish lizard but my body differs I'm likely warm-blooded with insulating blubber And I don't have gills I surface for air I have a long-pointed snout filled with sharp teeth For munching on all of my favourite treats Fish and squid are so yummy to eat I'm an Ichthyosaurus I resemble a porpoise I'm about 10 feet in length And I show my strength By diving deep down Then zipping back up At very high speeds Through these Jurassic seas Very large eyes shimmer with adventure Spending my days seeking out my favourite treasures Effortlessly my sleek body glides To all my favourite spots My heart as my guide I'm an Ichthyosaurus I resemble a porpoise I'm about 10 feet in length And I show my strength By diving deep down Then zipping back up At very high speeds Through these Jurassic seas
