When I was young I learned to drown the hurt in smiles But fakery can only go on for a while So I caved in Told my mom I couldn't stomach it She said to keep trying But every day at school I cried Cause my so-called friends didn't treat me right I was labeled a stupid kid And I was never gonna be anything different Nausea brings back the trauma Cause my past is full of pain Tears won't come and it's torture Still, what would they gain When everything will just stay the same Draw scenarios of how it could've went But nothing can erase all that's already been Go for a spin Round the neighborhood, I used to live in Oh how rundown it's gotten I still remember all those times My stomach danced with butterflies Cause life just made me sick And till this day I still haven't gotten over it Nausea brings back the trauma Cause my past is full of pain Tears won't come and it's torture Still, what would they gain When everything will just stay the same I want to redo my life Cause thing's haven't gotten better in time Like I was told So I blame it on the hand I never had to hold
