4 AM Lament How long is the deep, dark night! Full of questions, full of longing. With one little sneaky entrance, you came into my mind. Something in you calls on my womansoul. Finds me out in spite of myself. I feel your eyes, I hear your music; you see me where I live. Can't break you. Can't shake you from my thoughts. No, I can't make you leave my mind. So here we are in early morning touch, although before I slept soundly alone. Shall we share our sleeplessness, or go back to sleep? I wonder . . .
