Stasis

I spend my days in the tombs With my thoughts to see me thru In pictures behind my eyes Then it starts to blind me! The pink cloud, it fades And so, remains the day and the truth! Lost in a daze, don't end up in those chains Think it through! I stay on social wearing a mask But my skin begins to crack Small talk and nothing to say And like a flood, it's coming! Narcissistic rage Slow motion, how it plays, burn the roof! Patience is not a game Now, hurry up and wait and don't move! Is my path blood? Is my path peace? Living in stasis - Let's see which one breaks Stranded in it In the middle of it Overcome - Let's see which one breaks Voices raise and I withdraw Stinging words and I hear them all Don't react, don't let them see As I'm biting thru my tongue! Am I afraid, of all I think and say? There's no excuse! Trip the wire on the ground, Or charge the walls and bring them down - choose! Is my path blood? Is my path peace? Living in stasis - Let's see which one breaks Stranded in it In the middle of it Overcome - Let's see which one breaks Run! Fight - Fight! Run!
