Driving down this old back road Got nothing better to do Another day and another dollar Just trying to make it on through I finally started to figure out I thought I'd seen it all I never thought I could need somebody I never knew I was wrong Like an angel in the night On the wings of a prayer When the darkness turns to light I will find you there I was trying hard to imagine How much I did not know It's been so long since I knew the difference It was always too far to go Now I'm starting to realize I haven't lived life at all A feeling starting to move inside The writing's on the wall
