Trying to keep my cool

If I fall down and no one is a witness to the sickness Did it happen if no one ever listened And do I need permission To feel something intensely Indifferent to the drama And I get it from my mama Ain't no need to ever holler And my daddy was a baller Turned me into a shot caller Every time I missed a dollar I was wearing my shock collar If I miss her lips I call her Hoping we can make a daughter And my family is my honor You touch them then you're a goner When I'm trying to keep my cool I don't want to be a fool And I don't want to seem fake Or else they'll burn me at the stake Forget about what happened I just need someone who listens To me gab about my faults and how I want to make a Different ruling Every body tripping Healing is so grueling And they always sipping On the thing that they be drooling over And I want to try sewing up myself I don't know if I can do it I might need a little help with the stitches The scars are really itching I just think if I could get it It would really really really make a difference When I'm trying to keep my cool I don't want to be a fool And I don't want to seem fake Or else they'll burn me at the stake
