Music don't love me And it never did But it gave me comfort when i was kid All the hope i had It filled me with drive Tricked me to believing That it would keep me alive And of course it lied Filled me with pride Thought i had a skill That others couldn't provide Yet i was denied The journey during my ride I saw my big brother keep his eyes on that prize And i would seek vengeance for how they cast him aside Oh you know i ride Too loyal for my own good But what can i do My whole life i've walked hand in hand with you Music don't love me I've been in different groups All types of circles But they don't see your passion Only ways to work you Is this a nine to five i don't see a clock Popularity over talent this shit needs to stop But it never does so i guess i will See lately i've been trying to find a way to chill Without having to write songs in order to heal I mean i never took pills in order to deal With life's thrills that cause you to be mentally ill But i'm still upset that music won't be apart of my will And i haven't quit still Music don't love me
