Drunk at a party almost 3am It was the start of something new again People around I wouldn't talk to friends Locked with your eyes I only stared at them Girl wearing glasses she's looking my way Something just clicked with our dumb drunken gaze Told me to kiss her and so I just did Struck with such wonder but I was amazed Throughout the night I took care of you We were drunk But I knew I just needed you Time goes on and now we're gone Don't know what I could have done Sitting writing stupid songs Wishing that we weren't alone Now we're home and we're sober I'm not wiser, I'm older Winter came and it's colder And I knew it was over
