When I was young I was with my friends They said "I had a dream And you were in it" We were all princesses And you were the clown We were all so pretty You were dancing around Your face painted Your shoes too big I swear to God it didn't mean a thing Met with a sinister grin That's the day I learned They call me a circus freak Behind my back Apparently I'm quite the act Being different is now a crime Scaring people with a Unique mind They call me a circus freak They all know my name But not the inside For shame All the whispers through the halls Stares like eyes that follow ya Like a picture on a wall Freaky Interacting with me like a mirror Some with a mask To pretend like we were All apart of the same cast Except they forgot all their lines Amateur's That's the day I learned They call me a circus freak Behind my back Apparently I'm quite the act Being different is now a crime Scaring people with a Unique mind They call me a circus freak While I'm on the trapeze Making money You'll be making hollow friends When the red curtain closes At least I will know Who I am So go ahead and Call me a circus freak Behind my back You think I don't know that I put on quite an act Being different is was never a crime Standing out with a unique mind I'm proud to be A circus freak
