Not A Terrible Person

You know the world can be the loneliest place sometimes But I make it worse by putting all these walls around I tried to be nice but I ended up rude And whatever I do I get misunderstood I was betrayed too many times and lost my faith in people It's like everyone around me knows how to get along My therapist told me there is no secret hidden knowledge Everyone is struggling No I'm not alone in that Can't you see I'm trying really hard Can't you see I'm doing better now I'm not a terrible person I'm just a bit hard to know Please don't give up Please don't give up on me I'm not the most friendly person that you ever meet And I definitely have a soft side But it takes some time to see I can look intimidating Not on purpose just my face And sometimes i like to use it to scare people away Yes I can be mean rude and push people away But it gets a little lonely So I'm trying to change Can't you see I'm trying really hard Can't you see I'm doing better now I'm not a terrible person I'm just a bit hard to know Please don't give up Please don't give up on me Can't you see I'm trying really hard Can't you see I'm doing better now I'm not a terrible person I'm just a bit hard to know Please don't give up Please don't give up on me
