Late night whispers your eyes wide open We tiptoe 'round things left unspoken Thunderous silence fills this space Can't keep dodging the elephant's gaze The neon sign that we can't see Flashing red it's haunting me We pretend not to notice it But deep inside we know it's lit Could we brush it off like it's dust Or let it crumble down to rust We both know it's here to stay An elephant won't just walk away Transparent walls invisible chains We dance around avoiding pains Our unsaid words hang in the air Heavy beasts we're too scared to dare Caught in this maze we built so high Hiding truth behind a lie See it in shadows looming tall Elephant breaking down our walls Could we brush it off like it's dust Or let it crumble down to rust We both know it's here to stay An elephant won't just walk away
