The sun set so long ago But I kept on 'cause why go home I'm bored of living the same roads I want to feel something unknown A leather slap, a neon sign A girls lips sloppy upon mine A cash and a fist singing in time To the unraveling of the mind Everyone tunes in to check out I want to check out while they're all out To lunch in a screen I'll be a real thing I wonder if reality is still even a thing Freedom's such a frail thing & even the future's a frail thing People sold themselves for screens Freedom's such a frail thing Behind every curtain is another man & behind every person is another curtain & every truth is never certain As it spills from someone else's agenda The world is bonkers that's for sure How much of it was planned I'm still unsure Everyone thinks their poison is the cure Our freedom has been lost to the future Freedom's such a frail thing & even the future's a frail thing People sold themselves for screens Freedom's such a frail thing
