When I was a kid I spent my evenings at her place How could I not fall in love with such a pretty face Then one time over dinner she mentioned that she was straight And after that I dropped it And never talked about it For fear that I might frighten her away One time at a party she asked me up to her room I thought she wanted company, too drunk to see the truth We fell asleep talking by the blue light of the moon But I left in the morning Without a word or warning I guess that you could say I was confused How could I have known How could I have known That you were feeling it too?
