Never Feels Like Love

I get a feeling when you don't text back Why do the butterflies appear like that I kinda like it when I don't know where we stand Why do I always want the empty man People tell me that they know I'll find the one What if I see him and decide to run Cuz I always thought that I wanted love But I could never fully stand it Chasing after all the ones Who like to keep their distance All of this time, has it been me Am I trying to feel lonely What I'm chasing Never feels like love to me Looking closer at a complicated past The things I'm choosing they weren't built to last Find somebody who I know will keep me down A vicious cycle, it goes 'round and 'round I hate the feeling but I play it on repeat After all this time I'm questioning Cuz I always thought that I wanted love But I could never fully stand it Chasing after all the ones Who like to keep their distance All of this time, has it been me Am I trying to feel lonely What I'm chasing Never feels like love to me What if it's easy like a summer breeze Kind of peaceful and it doesn't leave What if I'm lucky and there's not a fight Just sort of happens and it turns out right I always thought that I wanted love But I was scared to ever find it If you never really open up You don't have to find the right fit All of this time, it might be me But I'm tired of feeling lonely I'll take a chance on love That's trying to find me
