River and Rain When pain and pondering is what I have left And all I can think of is retaliation Insane and somber moods persist They break my heart A river survives it`s draughts and tides And I should let go of this bitter notion Transfigure a lost love to one never ending Tears me apart Take it all away Drown it in the sea Smooth down the edges The dissimilar pledges and Bring it all back to me as Rain The moist and fertile grounds I chose To bury softness and appreciation Could turn into fields of succulent grass And ease my mind A river survives it`s draughts and tides And I could get rid of what I carry with me Slag and mud and a monkey wrench Turn that page Sweep it all away Drown it in the sea Smooth down the edges The dissimilar pledges and Bring it all back to me as Rain
