It Just Gets Better

It's pretty weird to be a kid these days Especially when you're a kid my age I'm 23 yet I seem to know nothing Trying to figure out this new thing called adulting I need a little more time Cause I don't know what I'm doing with my life And I know I'm not the only one There's a lotta crap that's going on, goin on The world's on fire and we're depressed Another 10 year old boy has killed himself And it just gets better from there Government is trash and no one cares The corona virus fills the air And it just gets better from there It just gets better from there It's pretty hard to be a kid these days Especially if you're not white, male and straight Honestly, it seems to me no one is trying To help keep these sweet babies from dying We need a little more time Cause our world has fallen out of line And I know I'm not the only one There's a lot of crap that's going on, going on The world's on fire and we're all stressed Another 12 year old girl has starved herself And it just gets better from there Our education is trash and no one cares Greenhouse gases fill the air And it just gets better from there It just gets better from there One day the fire will be gone Til then I'll sing this song Cause right now it's not perfect But someday it will be worth it Cause the world's on fire but it's okay Us Gen Z babies are saving the day And it just gets better from there People come and go everyday But our love and pride are here to stay And it just gets better from there It just gets better from there Yeah, we're gonna get better from here
