You can’t put the tears back Can’t unfeel the hurt They act like love’s a blessing It feels like such a curse we cried into the ocean So the tears can wash away But once they’re set in motion You can’t stop the waves Ash to ash and dust to dust It stole our hearts and used them up Love took the most from us And left a ghost of us Both of us are hollow So why do I still bleed It’s a bitter pill to swallow That won’t heal anything
